DRM Dying Fast, And Everyone Cheers

Digital Rights Management, the thing that's supposed to stop theives from stealing copyrighted material, but in reality only keeps you from being able to copy or play music or movies when you want to, is in the throes of death.

(Emphasis mine)

Earlier this year, a major European music store announced that 75 percent of its customer support problems were related to DRM. With the technology doing little to halt copyright infringement, music services and labels are throwing in the towel, hoping that consumers will continue to buy if the process of discovering and purchasing new music becomes less painful.

Now if we can get Microsoft to stop dreaming that ANY normal family will ever buy more than one license for their software. Maybe they'd be a little more popular if Mom and Dad could both use that copy of MS Office they bought.
